Sigma Alpha Mu was founded at WVU because its founding fathers did not like the Greek system as it was. With this in mind, Sigma Alpha Mu was founded on a basis of strong bonds of brotherhood, giving back to the city of Morgantown, and building a reputation for being the Best Fraternity on Campus
